Raffle ticket for Rock Melon from the series Burst

This print was showcased at the Ellen Melville Centre during the Women's Work exhibition 'The Shape of Things" from March 5th to March 12th 2023, and is now up for raffle to support the Muriwai community after the devastating damage following Cyclone Gabrielle.

You will receive an A5 card with the image and a personal thank you note in the post from the artist, photographer Manja Wachsmuth. A random draw will be made on 22 April to reveal the winner.

All proceeds will be donated to Muriwai Community Recovery Charitable Trust which is run by the Muriwai Emergency Network.

Returning to Denmark, my home country, for a visit in August 2022 for the first time after the pandemic lockdowns and four years of separation was a brutal reminder of how homesick I was. I had completely forgotten. Reconnecting with family and friends, most of which had never even met my youngest son, was incredibly precious but also heartbreakingly painful because a holiday just wasn’t enough time to truly reconnect.

This series explores quite literally the shape of things as they burst, but also metaphorically what it's like to be an ex-pat. No matter what I do, the feeling of being split regardless of where I live.

800mm x 2,100mm Full-colour Giclée on SAV with satin matt laminate seal. Mounted on 3mm Paligh.
Print comes signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
